Math Teacher (Grades 7-12)

The math teacher (grades 7-12) is responsible for developing and delivering math curriculum, which is aligned to the NYS standards, while fostering a positive learning environment. 

Additional responsibilities include:

Promote problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Use diverse teaching methods to engage students.

Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student learning and progress, providing feedback and modifying instruction as needed.

Create a safe, respectful, and conducive learning environment that fosters both individual and group learning.

Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and well-being.

Provide individualized support and differentiated instruction for students with diverse learning needs, including those with special needs.

Remains current on best practices in math education and participates in professional development activities.
