Department Overview

The MTA's Customer Experience teams work together to create content and communication systems to improve the customer experience for our riders on a daily basis. This includes social media, newsletters, digital screens, the website, phone apps, and more.

 

Intern Roles & Responsibilities

 

Intern will:

  • work on the social media team with projects intended to improve MTA customer experience via the MTA's social media channels. This includes 
  • content creation (both graphic design and video), 
  • copywriting, 
  • content ideation, 
  • community management, 
  • analytics reporting and other related tasks. 
  • have the chance to collaborate with different members across teams in Customer Experience, Marketing, and more. 
  • also have the opportunity to work at other MTA locations and attend events through the MTA system.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in communications/marketing/graphic design/advertising/journalism/emerging media/urban studies
  • A portfolio of content they've created would be helpful as well.

 

Required Qualification

Currently matriculated CUNY student.
