
Hardware Development Intern
Frore systems is looking for an intern to work on the Hardware Development in Frore’s key technology developments. Frore Systems, an innovative startup in Silicon Valley, CA has developed a new disruptive solid-state active cooling solution, AirJet®, based on flexible micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS). AirJet® by Frore Systems is the world’s first solid-state cooling chip, delivering >2x improvement in performance of ultra-compact, silent, dustproof, water-resistant and vibration-free devices. In a world where almost every device we own needs increasing power, heat is an enduring challenge. The problem is rapidly escalating as technology advances, AI accelerates and users demand more speed and convenience in smaller and smaller devices which generate more and more heat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable R&D team to develop next generation products
- Documenting and writing test plans and generating test reports
- Develop design Schematics, Supervise board layout, board verification, spice simulations
- Drive system verification.
Qualifications:
We are looking for talented and self-driven individual to join our team as Summer intern in the hardware group. The candidate should have following qualification/experience:
- Good communication skills and being team player
- Good understanding of EE fundamentals (preferably analog/mixed signal circuits)
- Experience using design entry tools (OrCAD, Altium or similar)
- Good understanding of standard interfaces such as I2C, USB, and SPI
- Experience with PCB design steps, guiding and supervising board layout
- Experience using basic electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, DVM, signal generator)
- Previous experience with board bring up and HW troubleshooting
