Administrative Assistant - Engineering/Community Development Department

The City of Dickinson is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant - Engineering/Community Development Department to provide vital support to our staff and help keep operations running smoothly.

Salary Range: $19.07 – $21.05 per hour, depending on experience 

Work schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to designated staff
  • Assist in preparing presentations, public notices, and reports
  • Attend and support meetings, including taking minutes and coordinating materials
  • Maintain project summaries and department records
  • Handle correspondence, data entry, and financial tracking
  • Process department permits and assist in competitive bidding processes
  • Ensure a high level of confidentiality while managing sensitive information

What We’re Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum two years of administrative experience (or equivalent education and experience)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and work independently
  • Valid Driver’s License required
