Our Innovations Group is seeking a highly motivated AI Software Engineering Intern to collaborate with our engineering team in building, optimizing, and evaluating AI-driven agents. This role offers hands-on experience with prompt engineering, AI frameworks, and performance evaluation methodologies, making it an excellent opportunity for senior-level college students looking to deepen their expertise in AI development.
Responsibilities:
As an intern you may be working on one of more of the below areas:
- Developing and refining prompts to enhance AI agent performance across various use cases.
- Designing and implementing AI agent workflows and interaction models.
- Evaluating different AI frameworks to assess agent efficiency and effectiveness.
- Building and maintaining AI agent tools and supporting infrastructure.
- Prototyping and experimenting with new AI-driven features.
- Documenting best practices in prompt engineering and AI agent development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong foundation in prompt engineering concepts.
- Experience with at least one AI framework.
- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Demonstrated interest in AI technologies and applications.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred (Bonus Points If You Have):
- Experience with backend AI agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, Swarm AI).
- Exposure to frontend AI frameworks (e.g., CopilotKit, Assistant UI, Vercel AI SDK).
- Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., ChromaDB, LanceDB, PostgreSQL with vector extensions).
- Hands-on experience with AI development tools (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, Cline).
- Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.
- Contributions to open-source AI projects.
- Awareness of AI safety and responsible AI development.
- Experience with rapid prototyping and iterative development.
