Registered Angus Herdsman

JLB is in search of an experienced herd manager for their growing registered angus cow/calf farm near Rome, Ga  This is a stable, long-term opportunity in a team environment.  Applicants should be dependable, have good decision-making skills, be a self-starter, a good leader for the team, and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation.

This is a purebred operation, so experience is preferred in working with purebred angus cow/calf, developing bulls and heifers, calving, record keeping, and preparing for cattle sales. Experience in sire selection, AI and heat checking preferred.

Additional duties would include assisting with general farm duties, calving, animal health, feeding, hay operations, fertilization, general maintenance, and supervising.

Ideally, we would like to see someone with a minimum of 2-5+ years of working experience to bring some leadership, knowledge, and upper skill set with them to this position.
