Job Summary

Health Alliance Global, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level IT Specialist to join our growing technology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare technology environment, supporting both our headquarters and our mobile diagnostic units (MDUs).

The IT Specialist will assist in building, deploying, and servicing medical IoT equipment, networking systems, and IT infrastructure within MDUs, while also supporting the Director of IT with facility-based technology and network operations. Responsibilities also include managing barcode-based asset tracking and supporting facility onboarding to ensure operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Diagnostic Unit (MDU) Support

  • Assist in the setup, installation, and configuration of IT, network, and medical IoT equipment in MDUs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and connectivity issues on-site and remotely.
  • Perform routine maintenance and testing of MDU IT and clinical systems to ensure operational readiness.

Facility IT & Network Support

  • Assist the Director of IT in maintaining and troubleshooting network infrastructure, servers, and workstations at company facilities.
  • Provide first-line help desk support for staff IT issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Support facility onboarding by verifying network, power, and infrastructure readiness prior to operational go-live.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain barcode-based inventory and fixed asset tracking for IT equipment, medical IoT devices, and related hardware.
  • Document installation, service, and movement of all assigned assets.

Field & Remote Operations

  • Travel to MDU and facility locations to install, service, and upgrade equipment.
  • Work with clinical and operational teams to ensure IT systems integrate seamlessly with diagnostic workflows.

Collaboration & Continuous Learning

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to maintain HIPAA-compliant security standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training to expand technical skills, including healthcare-specific platforms and devices.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (recent graduates welcome to apply).
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL) a plus.

Experience:

  • 0–2 years of IT support or related technical experience (internship or co-op experience acceptable).
  • Basic knowledge of networking, hardware setup, and Windows/Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with IoT or healthcare technology equipment a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of barcode-based inventory systems and asset management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and travel up to 35% of the time.
