Logistics and Training Development Intern

TITLE:  Logistics & Training Development Intern

DEPARTMENT:  Supply Chain and Logistics

MANAGER:  Supply Chain Project Manager, Katie Stead

VICE PRESIDENT:  Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, Erol Fikri

JOB SUMMARY: As a Logistics & Training Development Intern, you will support the Supply Chain Project Manager in executing key initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and training effectiveness across the organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in process documentation, training development, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), computer-based training, business process maps, and other tasks as assigned.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Supply Chain Project Manager in managing and tracking supply chain projects using the Logistics Project Board. 
  • Document meeting notes and action items to be published to the meeting once completed.
  • Assist with assigned projects including SOP development, create and update computer-based training and scrollable learning modules to support company-wide learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate on the creation and revision of business process maps to reflect current workflows and best practices.
  • Track training completions and maintain accurate records to support compliance and performance metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Supply Chain team.
  • Learn and actively support the use of SharePoint for workflow management.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective communication, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Office, MS PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics or a related field.

 

ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is performed in a hybrid environment.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
