Autonomous Robotics Intern

Are you passionate about autonomous systems, AI, and cutting-edge robotics? INL’s Autonomous Engineering group is seeking a motivated graduate or soon-to-be graduate student to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID, starting January 2026.
In this hands-on internship, you’ll work with Robotic Operating System 2 (ROS2), NVIDIA Isaac, and other advanced programming environments to develop autonomous robots, integrate and visualize sensor data, and create AI algorithms that help machines analyze and understand complex environments.
We’re looking for students enrolled in or accepted to a Master’s or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field—especially those eager to learn, innovate, and collaborate.
