Admissions Counselor for the Honors College - Admissions Campus Visits and Recruitment

Summary of Job Duties:
The Admissions Counselor for the Honors College will develop and manage a pool of prospective students for the Honors College. This position will represent the Honors College at on-campus and off-campus events as required. The Admissions Counselor will meet with Honors College recruits as scheduled for either individual or group presentations. This position is responsible for recruitment of referred recruits to the University and will assist with Honors College Fellowship recruitment, reading applications as well as attend all campus recruitment events hosted by Office of Admission and/or Honors College.
This position will help coordinate the Advanced Placement Summer Institute (APSI), working closely with the Co-Directors and will also assist with special programs like Arkansas Reads, New Student Orientation, and other duties as assigned.
The Admissions Counselor for the Honors College be housed in Silas Hunt Hall and will report to the Director of Recruitment for Admissions.
Please note: frequent travel is required, including overnight trips and some weekends.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
At least one year of participating in a Honors College program within Higher Education
At least one year of experience in enrollment services, academic advising, or recruiting in higher education
Familiarity with the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville campus, either as a student or employee
