Position Overview

We're seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. This is a longer-term co-op position (4-6 months) where you'll work on production features for our PathIvy platform, contributing to both frontend and backend systems that directly impact thousands of students' college journeys.

 

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain React-based frontend components for student dashboards, profile management, and activity tracking systems
  • Develop backend APIs using Node.js to support features like task management, AI-powered recommendations, and real-time notifications
  • Collaborate with our AI integration team to implement features using OpenAI/Claude APIs
  • Use agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cline) to accelerate development and improve code quality
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation

 

Technical Requirements

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field, recently completed or expected by 2025.
  • Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with React and modern frontend development
  • Experience with Node.js and RESTful API design
  • Familiarity with Git version control
  • Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cline)
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL and databases

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Vercel deployment platform
  • Exposure to AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic)
  • Previous internship or project experience with full-stack applications
  • Familiarity with real-time communication systems (WebSockets, chat applications)
  • Experience with calendar integrations (Google Calendar, Outlook)
