Marriage and Family Therapist Intern/ Associates

Thrive Focus Counseling PLLC is a growing group practice dedicated to supporting individuals, couples, and families through evidence-based and culturally responsive therapy. We are seeking motivated LMFT Associates and LMFT Student Interns who are passionate about building their clinical skills while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, couple, and family therapy under supervision.

Conduct intake sessions, develop treatment plans, and complete progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Participate in weekly supervision (individual and/or group) with an LMFT-S.

Apply systemic and evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Gottman Method interventions.

Maintain professionalism, ethical boundaries, and client confidentiality.

Actively engage in professional development, training, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

For Associates: Active LMFT-Associate license in Texas (supervision arranged or provided).

For Interns: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Marriage & Family Therapy (eligible for practicum/internship placement).

Strong interest in couples, family systems, and relational therapy.

Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Willingness to grow through supervision, feedback, and training.
