Parking and Transportation - Patriot Lift Driver

The George Mason University Office of Parking and Transportation is looking to hire a Patriot Lift Driver. Patriot Lift drivers operate golf carts and provide transportation for the Patriot Lift mobility assistance program. Patriot Lift Driver

The Parking and Transportation office, in partnership with the Office of Disability Services, Student Health Services and the Office of Compliance, Diversity, and Ethics provides limited campus transportation services to those who require long- or short-term mobility assistance around the Fairfax campus. Patriot lift drivers drive golf carts to provide transportation for approved students, faculty and staff, and perform other duties as assigned. Details:

• Patriot Lift operates from Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• The position requires availability for half day (4 hour) or full day (8 hour) shifts.
• Patriot lift drivers must have availability for shifts at least two days per week.
• Patriot Lift drivers must have a valid US driver’s license and will undergo Mason-based golf cart training.
• Patriot Lift operates in all weather, rain or shine (golf carts can provide protection from rain but do not have heat or AC).
• Punctuality (being on time) is important for this position, because Patriot Lift operates on a tight schedule.

For this position we are specifically looking for applicants with availability from 12:30pm-5:00pm on Mondays, as well as 8:30am-5:00pm Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applicants can expect to receive a schedule of between 10 and 20 hours per week.
