Information Technology Specialist I

LIMITED RECRUITMENT

The County of Fresno invites applications for the position of Information Technology Specialist I. The Incumbent provides technical support of computer and enterprise applications and systems including, but not limited to, hardware, software, and peripheral equipment; and performs related work as required. Responsibilities include providing end-user support; installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and related peripheral equipment; and troubleshooting endpoint devices and network connectivity issues.

Please note: The current vacancies exist within the Information Technology Services Department. However, the eligible list established from this recruitment may be used to fill vacancies in other County departments as they occur.

Minimum Qualifications

OPTION 1:      

Education: Completion of sixty (60) semester units of coursework that is acceptable within the United States’ accredited college or university system with at least fifteen (15) units of course work in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.

OPTION 2:      

Experience: Two (2) years of full-time, paid work experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems and related peripheral equipment or designing, developing, and modifying computer applications.

 

In addition to the options listed above, the following is also required: 

LicensePossession of a valid Class “C” driver's license, or equivalent.
