The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dietary Aide to join our culinary team! These are part-time positions, and we have the following shifts available:
- 4:00 - 8:00 pm (and every other weekend)
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Aide:
- Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
- Serves meals in the health center.
- Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
- Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
- Transports all required non-food items to and from the health center.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- A minimum of six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
- Fundamental working knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
- Ability to understand, follow and perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
- Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Pay Range $15.00 - $15.86 per hour depending on experience.
