Dietary Aide - PT

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dietary Aide to join our culinary team! These are part-time positions, and we have the following shifts available: 

  • 4:00 - 8:00 pm (and every other weekend)

 

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dietary Aide:

  • Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
  • Serves meals in the health center.
  • Sets up tables in the health center dining room and breaks down same after meal.
  • Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center.
  • Transports all required non-food items to and from the health center.

 

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  • A minimum of six months’ experience in nursing home food service preferred.
  • Fundamental working knowledge of therapeutic diets, sanitation and personal hygiene.
  • Ability to understand, follow and perform simple arithmetic.
  • Ability to plan and organize work, set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

 

Pay Range $15.00 - $15.86 per hour depending on experience.
