Must have experience with 3D character animation, storyboarding, and rendering. Experience with child-focused content and inclusive design a plus but not required. Opportunity for long-term project expansion if approved by government partners. Please include a link to your portfolio or relevant academic work samples. At project commencement Pietas Coalition will provide awarded candidate:

  • vignette script
  • character concept and description
  • storyboard and storyboard context

Technical Skills:

  • 3D modeling and animation (proficiency in industry-standard tools like Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D, or 3ds Mx)
  • Character rigging and movement (expressive, child-friendly animations)
  • Lighting and texturing (to create appealing, clear visuals suitable for young children)
  • Storyboarding (ability to translate simple scripts into engaging scenes)

  • Understanding of animation for different neurodiverse audiences (e.g., visual clarity, limited sensory overload)
  • Basic graphic design for any supporting stills or slides

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Openness to feedback and revisions (especially since I'm presenting to stakeholders)
  • Creative problem-solving — the ability to make heavy topics like “stranger danger” approachable but still clear for special needs kids
  • Reliability with deadlines and file management (since I may expand this into multiple episodes)

Signing Perk: This is a short-term, flexible project ideal for a student looking to build their portfolio. Total estimated time is 8–12 hours. Our budget is up to $300, but we’re hoping to stay closer to $150 + a Starbucks gift card as a thank-you for your creative work.
