
Social Media Content Specialist
Main Street Social Media is a boutique marketing agency based in New Jersey that
partners with small, local, and family-run businesses (and beyond)!
We’re currently seeking a part-time (4-6 hours per week) Social Media Content
Specialist to create content in support of our clients’ social media strategies.
We are creative, savvy, and passionate about authentically engaging digital
communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit photo and video content for social (ex, Facebook and Instagram feed posts,
- Stories, and Reels; longer-form YouTube Videos) within Canva.
- Write copy that aligns with clients’ established brand tone and messaging.
- Draft and schedule content within client calendars on Monday.com (no prior
- experience required – training will be provided) and Meta Business Suite.
- Report monthly analytics and insights within Google Sheets.
- Respond to comments and direct messages, delivering customer care support
- and community engagement strategies.
- Contribute creative input and content ideas during collaboration.
- Organize assets within Google Drive and Monday.com.Qualifications
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, platform nuances, and audience
- engagement techniques.
- Confident in community management with a strong sense of tone.
- Ability to respond to comments and messages based on audience and
- situation with warmth, professionalism, and (when appropriate) humor.
- Understanding of how to “read the room” and match communication style
- appropriately.
- Understanding of general design principles and best practices when creating
- assets.
- Strong command of the English language and grammar.
- Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated with strong time
- management skills.
- 2+ years of prior experience with Canva; experience with Adobe Suite (Bridge,
- Lightroom, Photoshop) is a plus.
- 2+ years of prior experience in any of the following: social media management;
- strategy; content creation/design.
- 1+ year of prior experience with Meta Business Suite.
- 1+ year of prior experience with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, and Sheets).
