After School Team Captain

VAC Enrichment is seeking a Team Captain to provide leadership, staffing support, and operational oversight for our auxiliary and enrichment programs nationwide. The Team Captain plays a key role in ensuring program quality, supporting instructors, and fostering positive client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Staff Supervision

  • Meet regularly with supervisors and teammates to ensure client success.
  • Conduct monthly check-ins with supervisors for performance review and professional development.
  • Supervise daily onsite activities, staff, and student safety protocols (as needed)
  • Manage program schedules, staff assignments, and supply readiness (At Specific Sites)
  • Lead emergency response procedures and maintain compliance with safety and conduct protocols.

Administrative & Communication Duties

  • Facilitate cross-team communication.
  • Interface with school partners and clients as directed by supervisors.

Staffing & Hiring Support

  • Support ongoing hiring of part-time instructors in New England.
  • Conduct an average of 2 interviews per weekday, ensuring background checks and onboarding are complete.
  • Prioritize hiring for immediate program needs and remediation cases.
  • Ensure relevant training is completed before instructors begin programs.

Leadership & Support

  • Proactively communicate any barriers to meeting deliverables and propose solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in education, childcare, camp, or program operations (operations experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to supervise groups of children with varying needs.
  • Fully vaccinated per public school requirements (including COVID-19).
  • Valid U.S. work authorization.
  • Reliable access to a personal vehicle; willingness to travel 40–50 miles for assigned duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform active tasks (bending, walking, transporting materials).
  • Completion of all required onboarding and background checks.
